During the incident at about 6pm on Saturday, the man, who was working outstation, had rushed home after calls to his 39-year-old wife went unanswered.

A neighbour said the man's wife had gone to seek medical treatment a few days ago, adding that the doctor wanted to admit her into a hospital.

“However, she was worried that there would not be anyone to care for her daughter, so she insisted on going home,” she said.

The woman was believed to have died from heart disease.
