RM15.4mil win gives trio a very happy Chinese New Year
PETALING JAYA: The God of Fortune smiled on three lucky winners as they walked away with a total of RM15.4mil from Sports Toto during Chinese New Year.
A construction businessman from Selangor, in his 60s, became Toto's first Chinese New Year millionaire when he bagged the first prize in Toto 6D on Feb 12 after faithfully betting on 427584, picked out by his daughter during her marriage last year. He won RM4.7mil.
An IT professional, also from Selangor, and a medical doctor from Sabah won RM8.1mil and RM2.5mil, respectively.
The former, in her 40s, won the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 on Feb 17 totalling RM8.1mil through the numbers 3212 and 8688, which are her friend's car registration plate numbers.
The doctor, also in his 60s, won the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 two days later with 2727, his regular 4D number, as well as 2552, a number derived from playing mahjong with friends during Chinese New Year.
“All three winners happily shared their grand plans for their new-found fortune. The businessman wants to buy a house for each of his children, the IT professional intends to start a small business and the doctor wants to help his only son expand his business,” Sports Toto said.
