Courts order Sarawak CM's son to pay maintenance fees to ex-wife

KUALA LUMPUR: The former daughter-in-law of Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Shahnaz A. Majid, has been granted an interim order requiring her ex-husband Datuk Seri Mahmud Abu Bekir to pay maintenance fees of RM902,746.
The interim maintenance was for expenses incurred by Shahnaz over the last two years since their divorce on March 11, 2011.
Judge Mohd Amran Mat Zain made the order in chambers after meeting both parties Tuesday.
