Two sisters go missing

Chen Poh Choo (left) and her sister Chen Poh Fong. KLANG: Two teenage sisters have gone missing for more than four days and their anguished parents are worried that they may have been abducted.
Chen Poh Choo, 15, and her sister Chen Poh Fong, 13, were last seen by their mother Lee Lay Ching at noon on Wednesday, before they headed to school.
However, teachers told the parents that the girls in Form Two and Remove Class respectively, never made it to class.
"I was worried as they usually got home by 7pm.
“When my husband got home at about 8pm, we went searching around the vicinity of the school and also looked up their friends," said housewife Lee, 35.
She said the girls usually walked to school, which is only 10 minutes away.
Lee and her husband Chen Fook Chai lodged a police report at 12.30am on Thursday after failing to locate the girls.
Chen, a lorry driver, told reporters on Sunday that it was unlikely that his daughters had run away, as they recently requested to celebrate Chinese New Year at Lee's hometown in Labis, Johor.
Both the girls did not pack any additional clothes and only had RM1 each on them.
They also did not have a piggy bank as the mother kept all their savings.
Poh Choo was last seen wearing a school uniform, while Poh Fong was wearing the school t-shirt and track bottoms.
Chen said there were no recent arguments between them and the children, nor were the girls reprimanded for anything.
He added that it was unlikely they ran away together as both the sisters were not close and frequently bickered.
"Poh Choo has a mobile phone but it has been switched off," he said.
While Poh Fong had no disciplinary problems, Poh Choo had been threatened with a week's suspension from school for constantly skipping class.
"A teacher told me that she was warned that she might get a suspension but so far the notice had not been issued yet," said Chen.
Chen and Lee were speaking at a press conference organised by Klang MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Ching Eu Boon, who said that MCA members would be asked to help look for the girls.
"By the end of Monday, if they are not traceable, we will print posters and distribute them on Tuesday.
"I am afraid that they may have been abducted and sent to Thailand," he said.
