KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Ambrin Buang has been reappointed Auditor-General for two years with effect from Feb 23.

Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa said in a statement Monday that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has consented to the reappointment.

He said Ambrin was reappointed to the post as his service as Auditor-General was still needed.

Ambrin was appointed to the post for a two-year period from Feb 23, 2006 to Feb 22, 2008 and reappointed to the post up to Feb 22, this year. - Bernama
