NFC case: 34 mobile numbers registered under NFC, court told

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 34 mobile numbers were registered under the National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd (NFCorp) name, a Sessions Court here heard.

"The numbers are registered under the NFCorp's name but Maxis do not know who are using these numbers.

"We also do not have the content of the Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) sent," said Maxis principal technician Zulkarnain Hasri, 39, Tuesday.

Zulkarnain was replying to a question by counsel Lim Kon Keen in the trial of businessman Datuk Shamsubahrin Ismail charged with cheating NFCorp executive chairman Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Salleh and money-laundering amounting to RM1.755mil.

Replying to another question by counsel Afifuddin Hafifi on Short Messaging Service (SMS), the 35th prosecution witness said they only kept its transactions record and not the content of the SMS.

Earlier, during cross-examined by Afiffuddin, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) assistant superintendant Faizal Ismail, 33, said he heard that the window of one of the three cars - Mitsubishi Triton, Mitsubishi Grandis and Mitsubishi AXS - sealed by MACC was broken while under MACC custody.

"However, I was not sure whether an investigation was carried out on the incident," said the 33rd prosecution witness.

Faizal, 33, said he was also unsure if Shamsubahrin's handphones were seized by the MACC officers as his job was only to snap photographs of the three cars.

MACC superintendant S. Faridah Selamat, 35, said more than five MACC officer went to Shamsubahrin's house in Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, to seal the three cars on Dec 25, 2011.

The trial before Sessions Judge Rozilah Salleh continues Wednesday.

The prosecution was lead by MACC head of prosecution unit Datuk Abdul Razak Musa.
