Floods: 153 evacuated in Rompin, 38 evacuated in Segamat
PETALING JAYA: Floods in Rompin, Pahang, forced 138 people to be evacuated from their himes.
They were taken to two shelters.
Meanwhile, two areas in Segamat, Johor, have been hit by floods, forcing 38 victims to be evacuated to two relief centres.
A National Security Council spokesman said that continued rain in Gemerah 3 and Kampung Paya Dalam in Segamat since late Tuesday afternoon had flooded the areas.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or casualties and no road closures.
“We expect the water to recede by tomorrow,” he said.
