Three punters take home RM20mil before Chinese New Year
PETALING JAYA: The God of Prosperity has smiled upon three punters before Chinese New Year.
The three won a total of RM20.9mil though their bets with Sports Toto.
A technician from Penang won RM12mil, while two sales assistants from Selangor and Pahang won RM4.7mil and RM4.1mil respectively.
The technician, in his 50s, gained inspiration to bet on the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 winning draw of 3770 and 4993 Lucky Pick numbers after attending his late father's memorial service.
Meanwhile, the Selangor-based sales assistant in his 30s won the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 of RM4.7mil through the 1980 and 2032 combination, which he derived from a photo of his niece on Facebook and a product serial number at the electrical appliances shop where he works.
The other sales assistant, in his 40s, won the Mega Toto 6/52 Jackpot 1 with the combination 9, 10, 27, 31, 33 and 45 which are his family members' favourite numbers, his grandparents' regular betting numbers, and the sales assistant's age.
“He said as winning a jackpot happens only once in a lifetime, he would definitely use his prize money wisely for his children's education, property investment and retirement later,” Sports Toto said yesterday.
