GEORGE TOWN: Penang Barisan Nasional has urged the public not to believe rumours that they are selling tickets to the 1Malaysia Chinese New Year Open House.

Organising chairman Oh Tong Keong said he received calls and SMS from public asking for tickets claiming that they were now being sold.

"The public were seeking tickets when they heard it was being sold for RM50, RM75 and RM250.

"This is untrue, there are free seating for the public on a first come first serve basis.

"We provide 10,000 seats for the people in total," he told a press conference here at the Barisan elections operation centre in Datuk Keramat.
