PM: Umno reps at division level to report on sabotage ahead of GE

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno is appointing 191 disciplinary committee representatives in every division to immediately report elements of sabotage in the run up and during general election.
Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said they would be chosen among the seven respective divisional representatives to the recent general assembly.
“We will chose one among seven from each division,'' he said after chairing the Umno supreme council meeting on Friday.
He also announced that audit report on the state of preparedness of the party machinery at all levels was satisfactory.
Najib also took a swipe at Pakatan Rakyat leaders for making attempts to disrupt the Barisan Nasional Chinese New Year celebration in Penang.
“We (Barisan Nasional) do not block their programmes, why should they disturb us,''he said.
Najib also noted that the 1Malaysia posters and his posters were being taken down in Penang.
“We find it strange that they are reacting this way,'' he said.
On speculation that certain quarters could still be plotting uprising a la Arab Spring, Najib warned that stern action would be taken against those who disrupt peace.
“All quarters should respect decisions made by the rakyat, in line with democratic principles,'' he said.
