Salary scale for police, armed forces raised

PUTRAJAYA: The Government has raised the salary scale for those working in the security forces to be on par with the rest of the civil service, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He said the salary adjustment was effective Jan 1 this year, and covered all police and armed forces officers.
For example, corporals in both the police force and armed forces will see their salary scale jump five tiers to Grade 22 from their current Grade 17.
