By MUGUNTAN VANAR

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Musa Aman has urged the public to donate to a special fund for the families of the killed policemen in Lahad Datu and Semporna.

Donations can be made through the state security council office.

The public can contact the office at 088-488500 or 013-4821604 and 013-3060106 for further information on how to go about donating. Musa also announced that the first phase of the special security area covering east coast districts from Kudat to Tawau has been named Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESS Com).

“Further details on ESS Com for its phase one implementation will be announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak very soon,” he said after chairing the state security working committee meeting on Monday. Musa said Sabahans had shown their support on the special security area being set up, as it would help monitor the activities of people along the 1,400 km coastline. “This is also our way of showing our fallen heroes and security forces that their sacrifices are appreciated,” he said.
