MAICCI submits memo to govt on issues facing Indian businesses


PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI) has urged the government to streamline the immigration and recruitment process for foreign Indian firms operating in Malaysia.

Its members also called for a review of the Personal and Corporate Tax structure, special funding for Indian entrepreneurs, allotment of Class F licenses and be given projects and tenders.

These issues were listed in a memorandum which was handed by its president Datuk K K Eswaran to Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin during a meeting here on Monday.

The chamber also urged the government to register local Indian contractors under the vendor development programmes of government-linked companies.

He also urged the the Federal and state government and agencies to provide jobs to Malaysian Indians.
