Parents file RM1mil suit against Selangor MB

Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim SHAH ALAM: A group of parents have filed a suit against the Selangor government and Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim on behalf of their kindergarten and preschool children, claiming RM1.04mil in monthly allowances.
Sarina Hashim, 35, filed the suit on behalf of her six-year-old daughter Ely Nur Sara on Thursday, together with 1,887 parents, who are claiming for their children.
They claimed that the Selangor government and Khalid failed to give a RM50 monthly allowance per child, allegedly promised to them in the 2008 general election manifesto.
