Maintenance worker dead, one injured after being hit by ERL train
KUALA LUMPUR: A maintenance worker was killed while another suffered serious injuries after being hit by a KLIA bound Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) train at Km9.2, near the Tasik Selatan Integrated Terminal (TBS) here on Thursday.
Cheras police chief ACP Mohan Singh Tara Singh said N. Muniandy, 36, died during the 11.10am incident while carrying out maintenance work with fellow worker Ahmad Khusairi Kamarul Baharin, 37.
"Muniandy from Temerloh, Pahang died at the spot while Ahmad Khusairi who suffered serious injuries on his body was admitted to the University Malaya Medical Centre," he told Bernama.
