By MAZWIN NIK ANIS and SYED AZHAR
Najib and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor praying after arriving at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport on Friday. - Bernama KUALA KRAI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak says land in Kelantan is only for people of the state.
He said the PAS-led state government had awarded 4,000ha of land to Perak DAP leaders Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham and Ngo Kar Ming when the rakyat were also in need of it.
"Barisan Nasional will not give land to DAP leaders but we will give it to the people because as a government, it is our duty to give the best to the rakyat," he said during a meet-the-people session here on Friday.
The Kelantan government came under fire when it was exposed that the state had awarded land to Upayapadu Plantation Sdn Bhd, where Ngeh and Ngo are directors of the company.
The company is involved in planting rubber close trees in Gua Musang.
The Prime Minister added Barisan was a responsible government that wanted Malaysians to enjoy progress and respect of the international community.
