Khairy: BN must defend against allegations made on social media

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional must fight allegations made by the opposition through social media with facts and evidence, said Umno youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin on Saturday.
When launching the BN Youth Cyber Activists Gathering, he said Barisan was faced with an uphill task in reaching the minds and hearts of social media users.
"The cyber world is the opposition's mainstream media.
"In the cyber world, we are the 'away team' and there is nothing better than winning in your opponent's home ground," he said.
Khairy also launched a BN Youth mobile application which is already available on the Android platform.
Through the application, he said, mobile users would be able to get the latest news and updates on all issues related to the general election.
