Three killed in car-lorry collision near Sungai Siput

IPOH: Three people died on the spot and another was seriously injured when the car they were in crashed into an oncoming lorry at KM41.3 of the Kuala Kangsar-Ipoh road, near Sungai Siput.

A police spokesman said the car, coming from Kuala Kangsar, swerved into the path of the lorry prior to the accident around 9pm Tuesday.

The three deceased have been identified as Romlan Ros Abdul Bakar, 52, his wife Haniza Hussin, 45 and Mohd Ridzuan Mohd Nor, 55.

Mohd Ridzuan's wife Zaharah Abdullah, 52, was seriously injured and was sent to the Sungai Siput Hospital.

All four victims were from Felda Bersia Gerik.
