Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said it was a sign of remembering the deeds and sacrifices of the late ASP Zulkifli Mamat and ACP Ibrahim Lebar.
"We will name roads at the places of their births after them," he said at a ceremony to hand over contributions to their families in Kampung Kubang Ikan and Jabi, Jerteh, here, on Thursday.
A contribution of RM50,000 each from the state government was given to the families of Zulkifli and Ibrahim.
Ahmad also said education loans would be offered to two of Ibrahim's children studying at a university in Egypt and Universiti Institut Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Segamat.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim's widow, Rosiah Dahlan,40, expressed her appreciation and thanks to the state government and the police for their help.
The mother of the late Zulkifli, Khatijah Ismail, 62, who received the contribution on behalf of her daughter-in-law, Noraziah Noor, 30, said she would hand over the contribution to Noraziah, who was not well. Bernama
