Teng: Tian Chua shouldn’t politicise Lahad Datu shootout

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Barisan Nasional chairman Teng Chang Yeow has slammed PKR vice-president Tian Chua for belittling and politicising the shootout in Lahad Datu.

“The incident is about national security and should not be politicised.

“Two lives have been lost and they were Malaysians defending the sovereignty of the country.

“Tian Chua has humiliated himself as a parliamentarian elected by the people to protect the sovereignty of the country's democracy. Shame on him,” Teng said after opening the “National Blue Ocean Strategy: My Beautiful Neighbourhood” at the Bandar Baru Teluk Kumbar in Teluk Kumbar yesterday.

Teng added that it was up to Tian Chua to apologise to the families of the deceased.
