Lahad Datu: Arrest of man in no-entry zone creates a stir

LAHAD DATU: There was excitement at the media centre here for journalists covering the Kampung Tanduo attacks, when security forces detained a man in a boat Wednesday.

In the 3.30pm incident on the beach fronting Felda Residence Sahabat, the man who was dressed in civilian clothes was ordered to row his wooden boat to the shore by commandos in a patrol boat.

Journalists rushed to the beach when they heard about the incident.

The "intruder", who had entered a no-entry zone, was seen rowing his boat with a commando inside it.

Three commandos then apprehended him when he stepped on to the shore.
