Lahad Datu: Timber players urged to cooperate to end intrusion problem

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's timber industry players have been told to cooperate with the government as it tries to resolve the intrusion problem in the east coast.

Sabah Timber Industries Association President (STIA) Datuk James Hwong said members operating in Lahad Datu, Kunak, Semporna, Tawau and Sandakan must have full confidence in the government and do whatever necessary to stabilise the situation there.

We must have faith in our government to find an amicable solution to the conflict so that the lives of Sabahans in the east coast areas can return to normal, he said in a statement.

He said the people should have full confidence in the security forces who are risking their lives to protect the country.
