GE13: Rafizi seeks legal action over slander
PETALING JAYA: PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli is taking legal action against blogger PapaGomo for allegedly slandering him online.
Rafizi said he was initiating legal action after PapaGomo had reposted an article claiming that he was fired from Petronas for various reasons including making false claims.
“Since the posting, I have explained in my blog that I was never fired from Petronas but had resigned for a career change.
“But no correction has been made by PapaGomo about the false claims. Thus I have instructed my lawyer to initiate legal action against him. A letter of demand will be sent to him as soon as possible,” he said at a press conference at the party's headquarters here yesterday.
Rafizi said he had a strong case as his former boss and colleagues in Petronas could verify that he had indeed resigned and was not fired as claimed.
