GE13: PKR expels 34 rogue members

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR has expelled 34 of its members who are contesting as Independents in the 13th general election, party vice-president Tian Chua said.

He said they had failed to respond by the Thursday deadline to a request to withdraw their candidacy and apologise.

“All the candidates were divisional leaders. The party constitution states that any member who goes against the party or joins another would be automatically expelled, but we gave these people warning and time to apologise.”

“However, by 5pm, there was still no response,” he said. “They will be issued with letters of expulsion.”- Bernama
