GE13: ‘Anwar manipulating people for own gain’
BATU PAHAT: Former Batu Pahat MP Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi has slammed Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for resorting to mass protests against the general election results.
Dr Mohd Puad, who is also Umno supreme council member, said Anwar had made all sorts of accusations despite Pakatan Rakyat capturing more seats in the polls on May 5.
“Although he has defended Selangor with a bigger majority, he is not happy and is again dragging the people in for his own gain.
“Is the polls result in the Batu Pahat parliamentary seat where I lost also a lie?” Mohd Puad asked reporters after visiting Kampung Parit Kangkong and Linau to inspect road upgrading projects which he had promised before the elections.
He accused the PKR leader of intending to be Prime Minister by manipulating PAS, DAP and the people for his own advantage.
