Quit now, MCA veterans tell Soi Lek
By EILEEN NG
Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek KUALA LUMPUR: A group of 15 MCA veterans has added to the chorus of voices calling for MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek to quit immediately to take responsibility for the party's poor showing in the May 5 general election.
Tan Koon Swan, a former MCA president and the group's spokesman, said Dr Chua should step down and allow new leaders to revive the party.
"Desperate times require desperate measures. Above all, a good leader will know how to sacrifice for the sake of the party.
"It is the party that must come first and not your interests.
"We are appealing to your love for the party, community and Malaysia to make this personal sacrifice for the good of all concerned, " he said at a press conference on Friday.
