Johor PAS submitting petitions to contest results in several states

By NELSON BENJAMIN

JOHRO BARU: Johor PAS will be submitting election petitions to contest the results in several seats contested in the state.

Johor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Mahfodz Mohammad said that among the seats that they expect to file a petition include Gambir, Mahkota and Nusajaya.

“While we are satisfied with the election results, we hope to file these petitions due to irregularities that we have found including our polling agent discovering early votes from Nusajaya ending up in the Mahkota seat.

“We will also be carrying out a post mortem to identify all the issues that we have faced in this elections,” he said during a press conference on Friday.

He added that Johor PAS was satisfied with them winning four seats in the state although they were gunning for seven parliaments and 10 state seats.
