GE13: Another MCA division calls for Chua’s resignation
BENTONG: Another MCA division in Pahang has openly called for the immediate resignation of party president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek following the party's dismal performance in the general election.
Bentong MCA chief Datuk Hoh Khai Mun said Dr Chua should take full responsibility for the failure to win more seats.
“All of the division committee members agreed that it is high time for Dr Chua to tender his resignation as soon as possible to save the party from further embarrassment.
“We need a better leader to set the right direction and bring a new lease of life to win back public support,” he said after chairing the division meeting here yesterday.
Earlier this week, Maran and Raub divisions also called upon Dr Chua to pass the baton now instead of delaying his departure.
In Temerloh, several office bearers of the Youth division have resigned as a show of protest against his leadership.
