MCA presidential council meets over party's performance in GE13 (Updated)

KUALA LUMPUR: The highly-anticipated MCA presidential council meeting has started at the party's headquarters here on Saturday.

It is the first to be held after the 13th general election last Sunday, which saw MCA winning just seven parliamentary and 11 state seats.

The meeting is expected to deliberate on MCA's performance in the general election as well as the future direction of the party.

Members of the presidential council began arriving as early as 9.20am, with deputy president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai being the first to reach the headquarters in Jalan Ampang.

He was followed by vice-presidents Datuk Seri Chor Chee Heung, Datuk Donald Lim and Gan Ping Sieu, secretary-general Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha, Wanita chief Datuk Yu Chok Tow and Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek is chairing the meeting, which started around 11am.
