Dr Mahathir, Najib visit Azizan

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad arriving at the hospital. GEORGE TOWN: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad paid a visit to former Kedah MB Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak at the Penang Hospital.
The former premier, who arrived at the hospital at 11.20am on Saturday, said Azizan is currently in stable condition.
"His heart and blood pressure is doing well," said Dr Mahathir.
He added that Azizan had regained consciousness but has been placed in an induced coma to keep him calm.
Mahathir, who was accompanied by with his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali and son Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir left the ward 25 minutes later.
Najib also visited Azizan at the Penang Hospital on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak paid a visit to Azizan at the hospital at 1.30pm.
Najib told reporters that Azizan is getting the best care possible and prayed for his quick recovery.
"Although Azizan is from a different party, I respect him as a leader and a friend," said Najib.
Najib, who was accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor left the hospital 10 minutes later.
