KUALA LUMPUR: Police hope to complete the investigation papers on controversial bloggers Papa Gomo and King Jason by next week for submission to the Attorney-General's (A-G) Chambers.

Federal Commercial Crimes Investigation Department Director Comm Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said police were currently strengthening their case against the two bloggers.

“They were released on bail on Friday evening,” he said yesterday.

The bloggers were arrested on May 7 after police reports were lodged against their social media postings which were deemed to contain elements that could instigate racial tension.

The reports alleged that their postings were seditious in nature, fuelled racial sentiments and propagated lies.

Comm Syed Ismail said King Jason was being investigated under Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 500 of the Penal Code while Papa Gomo was being investigated under Section 233 of the Communication and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 4(1) of Sedition Act.
