STUDENTS and office workers in Port Dickson are finding it difficult to get to school and work due to the poor public transportation system, reported Tamil Nesan.

P. Uthiyasoorian, 45, said residents living in 12th mile Jalan Pantai, Taman Greenview, Sengkang Estate, Taman Sua Betong and Taman Sungei Ujung are the worst affected.

Currently, only City Liner fleet plies the Jalan Pantai main road and it has an inconsistent bus schedule.

“Many students were absent from school for two days last week because there were no buses,” he said in urging the state government to take action.

> Malaysia Nanban reported that a 24-year-old woman sold one of her infant twins to a family in Chennai for Rs60,000 (RM3,267). The family paid an advance of Rs25,000 (RM1,361) and the deal came to light when they refused to pay the balance.

Sanjana had delivered twin boys a few months ago and doctors informed her that one of them had a hole in the heart.

She decided to sell the baby to a neighbour who had three girls and wanted a boy.

After a police report was lodged, the baby was returned to his natural parents.
