Chia looking forward to having second child
JOHOR BARU: Model and mother Amber Chia is looking forward to conceiving a second child.
The 32-year-old said she had to put on hold her wish to have a second child until next year as she was so busy with work.
“My schedule is packed until the end of the year with modelling assignments and running a make-up academy.
“Now, that my son is almost three years old, I hope to get a baby girl next. But, I need to settle my business and work schedules,” she said yesterday after attending a fashion week programme in conjunction with Mothers Day in Plaza Pelangi shopping complex here yesterday.
Chia said that she had always wanted a son and a daughter.
“Next year will be just nice for me to have a second baby as I don't want a big age gap between my kids,” she added.
She is watching her diet and practising a healthier lifestyle as a mother despite her modelling work.
Despite being a busy working mother and a businesswoman, Chia said she managed to “kill two birds with one stone” by doing yoga with her young son to keep fit and bond with him at the same time.
The Sarawakian said that her hectic schedule makes it quite difficult for her to juggle between work and being a mother.
“I try to put my family before everything else. I encourage working mothers to do yoga with their children so that they can have fun, de-stress and have quality time together,” she added.
