Star Radio Group deejays kick off Kamilah Malaysia campaign
By LOH FOON FONG
Star Radio Group's 'Kamilah Malaysia' campaign officially kicked off at 6am Monday with radio deejays inspiring listeners to celebrate the country's unity and diversity. PETALING JAYA: Malaysian football fans may support various clubs, but when Malaysia is playing, they're solidly behind the nation, said a caller named Azril, to Star Radio Group's 'Kamilah Malaysia' campaign which kicked off Monday morning.
Another caller, John, dedicated Bob Marley's One Love to all listeners, while Aileen said Malaysia "is home."
The campaign saw the radio deejays inspiring listeners to celebrate the country's unity and diversity, and callers were asked what reminded them of Malaysia.
Suria FM deejay Adibah Noor asked listeners to imagine Red FM's Lil Kev in a kebaya (a traditional blouse-dress outfit) when she crossed over to the station.
The comment sparked laughter as Lil Kev had said he thought of the kebaya when asked what he was reminded of when he thought of Malaysia.
Lil Kev was hosting the Red Breakfast WTF Breakfast Show with another deejay, JJ.
Deejays of Red FM, 98.8 FM, Suria FM and Capital FM are "criss-crossing" live over the four stations with a host of activities, which started at 6am.
