Zambry to seek audience with Perak ruler this week over state exco line-up

LUMUT: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir is hoping to seek an audience with Sultan Azlan Shah this week over consent for the state exco line-up.
Zambry receiving the letter of appointment as Mentri Besar from Raja Dr Nazrin Shah. "I've already met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and we're doing a final check on the line-up to ensure the candidates are qualified.
"The line-up will comprise experienced and new candidates while we are also trying to ensure they can represent the various regions in our vast state," he told a press conference here Monday.
On MCA not accepting any government positions, Dr Zambry said he was still considering Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, because a representative with knowledge of Mandarin was important.
"Consultation on the appointment is still ongoing and we could appoint him at a later stage," he said.
Dr Mah, the Chenderiang rep, was in the previous state exco and the only MCA candidate to win a state seat in Perak in the 13th general election.
