Bespoke tailoring house highlights its casual pieces at trunk show
Looking smart: Lim (left) and Conti at Wardrobe’s trunk show. WARDROBE, the bespoke tailoring house, recently hosted a trunk show that featured its casual collection using the finest fabrics from top supplier, Lanificio Fratelli Ormezzano Spa.
Wardrobe’s foray into tailoring their more casual pieces is strengthened by its collaboration with Ormezzano.
With casual and sports jackets now a popular trend with the urban masses, this alliance will enable Wardrobe to create quality jackets that cater to the needs of these fashion-forward individuals.
“The modern casual jacket is known as the jacket on-the-go as it is light, unconstructed, cooling and fashionable. It is a suit that allows you to be presentable on less formal occasions where shirt and pants won’t do,” said Wardrobe chief executive officer Lim Fang Heng.
“Ormezzano believes in growing its own products and they provide us with the highest quality of materials to create exceptional jackets,” he continued.
Based in Italy, Ormezzano started its wool factory in 1924 in Valle Mosso, where pure, fine wool fabrics are produced using only combed wool. The company moved on to linen fabrics in 1973 and has continued expanding since.
Today, the tradition of growing their own products and having their natural fibers hand-picked has resulted in a quality and consistency which has become Ormezzano’s trademark.
Ormezzano export manager Corrado Conti said, “Wardrobe has always been focused on providing the finest to their clients and it is through our shared values of providing consistency in quality that we are honoured to be able to work with them.”
During the trunk show, Lim explained the process of suit-making, touching on the intricacies of material layering, sewing methods and the lining of the jacket that contributes to crafting perfect bespoke jackets. He also enlightened the crowd on how to best present oneself.
“A well-made suit or jacket should be a staple in every man’s closet. This is where Wardrobe can assist in providing our customers with a style and cut that is unique to them. We take great pride in the precision of our suit-making.
“Our jackets are of the highest standards and made to fit each individual, ensuring our customers stay comfortable yet look their very best,” Lim concluded.
The Wardrobe is located at 51, Jalan Maarof, Bangsar. For more details, visit www.wardrobe.com.my or call 03-2282 6866.
