New menu in conjunction with Star Trek movie
For a limited time: Loh showing one of the limited edition burgers created in conjunction with ‘Star Trek: Into Darkness’. BURGER King explores new frontiers with its new Blockbuster Deals held in conjunction with the new Star Trek: Into Darkness movie.
Beam yourself up to your nearest Burger King outlet for the limited edition value meal, priced at RM13.95++, which comes with a choice of Galactic Beef or Galactic Chicken Meals with medium fries and soft drink.
Each burger comes with Burger Kings’s signature grilled beef or chicken patty and loaded with two different types of cheese, lettuce and a special Chargrilled Relish sauce.
Upsize the value meal to a large meal and get a free limited-edition Star Trek coupon notepad.
Another option is to add on RM3 for the Meteor Crunch Sundae which is vanilla soft-serve ice cream with a swirl of caramel sauce topped by crunchy bits of Cookie Crisps.
Making a debut along with the Blockbuster meals are the Frozen Fanta beverages in two flavours — Fanta Orange and Fanta Grape.
At the exclusive movie premiere, Burger King Malaysia marketing director Keith Loh, who watched the movie, said it was a visual masterpiece.
“I am confident it will not disappoint. Star Trek has created a fascinating sub-culture of its own with an extraordinary following worldwide.
“With the movie tie-in, we hope to connect on an emotive level with Trekkers from the older and new generation and movie buffs in general.
“In line with the movie theme, we have created an experiential dining experience with Star Trek paraphernalia for all our customers to enjoy,” said Loh.
He also revealed that Burger King would be offering breakfast options soon.
Star Trek: Into Darkness is the 12th Star Trek movie and was directed by J. J. Abrams. It is the sequel to Star Trek released in 2009.
Star Trek: Into Darkness will start showing in Malaysia on May 16.
