IPOH STARWALK
Ipoh International Starwalk 2013 is now open for registration at The Star’s Ipoh office, No 8-10, Lorong Chung Thye Phin from 9am to 5pm daily on weekdays.
There is the 10km competition Malaysian category, 10km competition International category (open to all with qualifying time below 50min) and 7km non-competition category. Registration is RM20 (International), RM15 (Malaysian) for competition walkers and RM10 for non-competition walkers.

STUDENTS’ CAMP
SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh will hold its Go Green Students’ Camp 2013 from June 15 to June 19. The camp is open to all secondary school students and includes a one-day trip to the Royal Belum Rainforest. Students must register in groups of three and be accompanied by a teacher. CHESS COMPETITION
The 4th Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng Perak Grand Prix Chess Championship 2013 will be held at Kolej Vokasional Kerian, Jalan Siakap, Bagan Serai on May 19. CPR TRAINING

SPEECH CONTEST
The Perak Malaysian-Japanese Friendship Society and the Consulate-General of Japan, Perak will hold its 27th annual Japanese speech contest at the Ipoh City & Country Club, 283, Jalan Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh at 7.30pm on May 18.
