Man kills wife for not giving him money

MALAYSIA Nanban reported that a 20-year-old woman was killed by her husband on their child's birthday after she refused to give him Rs 2,000 (RM109).

The incident took place on Saturday in the Burari area, New Delhi.

Police arrested the accused, Shanu, soon after the crime. The deceased was identified as Pinky.

The couple married three years ago and had a one-year-old son, who was asleep at the time of the murder.

The incident came to light when Pinky's niece, Laxmi, who had come for the birthday party and stayed back, woke up at 2am and saw Shanu hitting Pinky on the head with a brick in the bathroom, which was covered with blood.

He said in a press release that the Government's initiatives and programmes for the Indian community had led to the increased support.

He voiced confidence that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak would continue to bring more reforms and initiatives to improve the Indian community.
