GE13: Cops dismiss suicide post on FB
JOHOR BARU: Police have dismissed as mere rumours a Facebook post alleging that a man from Johor hanged himself after learning of the election results.
Johor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Dr Hashim Haron said police were aware of the Facebook post and advised people against circulating it.
It is learnt that the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission will investigate the matter.
The post on Monday alleged that a man named R. Prasant, 24, hanged himself and left a suicide note stating that he wanted to end his life as Barisan Nasional had managed to retain power.
