Husam Musa's supporters protest outside state secretariat building

Datuk Husam Musa KOTA BARU: A big group of supporters of PAS vice-president Datuk Husam Musa (pix) gathered outside the State Secretariat building on Tuesday to protest against the dropping of Husam in the state executive committee line-up.
Police have cordoned off the area around Jalan Kuala Krai, where the state government offices are located.
The situation looked tense at the height of the gathering with hundreds present.
Police urged the crowd to disperse saying the gathering is illegal but still about 100 protesters loyal to Husam continued to stay.
At 11am, a representative of the protesters was seen coming out of the state secretariat but did not speak to reporters.
After talking to the crowd, the protesters left the area peacefully.
