How do I advertise?

To start advertising with us, fill in the simple form and sign up to be an advertiser. An email confirmation will be sent to you and you can start creating your advertisement and campaign.

You then select your preferred publisher(s) and determine your campaign details. You can create banner ads with our user-friendly template. Once our moderator approves and comfirms the banner, your online advertisement will be displayed according to your preferred time and campaign settings.

Is there any other way
to advertise?

Aside from logging in to our website, you can also come in from your preferred publisher's link where you can login under a specific publisher. The advertisement creation process will be as described above.

What forms of payment
can I use?

There are 2 types of payment accepted by The Star Online Self-Serve Advertising:

A. Credit card transactions
B. Direct transfer from your financial provider

Is it safe to use
my credit card?

When you pay online by credit card or direct transfer from your account, your transaction is conducted over a secure Internet connection, and your information is encrypted.

The secure connection protects your transaction from the instant you enter your personal information to the moment you enter credit card information and receive payment confirmation.

Transactions are transmitted using one of the strongest Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocols available. Your confidential information is encrypted so that it cannot be altered or embellished during transmission.

What happens to the
information I give you?

Your information is safe with us as we protect our clients' privacy.

Do you impose sales tax?

No, we do not.

Are there any hidden fees?

We have no hidden or membership fees. Our transactions are transparent; the charges you incur are displayed according to the advertisement campaigns you have booked and confirmed using the order form.

How do I get a receipt
for my purchase?

You will get your receipt via confirmation email when your payment goes through; alternatively, you may log in to Your account where the history of your transactions will be made available to you.

Is there any reason
my advertisement would
be rejected?

There are several reasons why an advertisement may be rejected. Generally, these kind of ads are NOT ALLOWED:

• Liquor or any kind of alcoholic beverages
• Cigarettes or tobacco related products
• Moneylending services
• Network marketing / Multi Level Marketing (MLM) / Get rich quick scheme
• Massage parlour or doubtful massage services
• Sex related merchandise (i.e. condoms, sex toys, lubricants, etc)
• Pornography or advertisements that contain obscene image(s)
• Social escort ads or the offer of related services
• Personal friendship / Friendship network ads
• Illegal drugs banned by the authorities / Government
• Ads that provoke racism or touch on community sensitivities
• Ads that display acts of violence or suggestions of it
• Ads that clearly discriminate against a particular gender, race or age group.

Return and refund policy

Please take note that we accept no returns and offer no refunds as a matter of policy.

Duration of the ad

For RM500, the ad will run for 3 days.

RM1,000 and the ad runs for 6 days.

And RM1,500 and the ad runs for 14 days.

This means, if you place RM500 for the Tile Ad (120 x 60), your ad will run 50,000 times for 3 days.

Similarly, if you have RM1,000 for the Tile Ad (120 x 60), your ad will run 100,000 times for 6 days.

How long do I have to wait for my ad to be approved?

One working day. Working days are Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm, excluding public holidays.
