Our new King
The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail, 58, was installed as the 12th Yang di-Pertuan Agong with full pomp and pageantry at the Balairong Seri or Throne Room of Istana Negara Thursday.

King happy with govt’s achievements
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Thursday expressed happiness with the administration of the present government, saying that it was efficient and responsible and thus able to effectively implement the various development programmes.

Exhibition on King and Queen opens
Members of the public can get to know more about Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin ibni Al-Marhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail and Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid at an exhibition entitled “Our King” at the National Museum.

Nanny proud to see her charge installed as King
As the nation witnessed the historic installation of the 12th Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail, a 74-year-old retiree, who was once the King’s nanny, held her hands in prayer.

PM: Govt will continue to uphold Islam’s status
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the Government would continue to uphold Islam as Malaysia’s official religion and ensure it is not hijacked to serve vested interests.
