Provide facilities, home teams told
KUALA LUMPUR: Home teams will have to pay a hefty fine if they fail to provide adequate security and medical facilities for matches in the knockout stage of the Malaysian Junior Hockey League (MJHL).
Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) general manager K. Paramasivam said that they had received complaints in the past that the matches were disrupted by fans.
“It is the duty of the teams who host the knockout stage matches to provide security and medical facilities. We want full co-operation from all the eight teams in the quarter-finals,” he said.
“Errant teams will have to pay a hefty fine. If teams have problems getting security and medical officials, they can use the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil. We will make the arrangements but they have to pay for both these services.”
