Lampard not punched, says agent
LONDON: England’s Frank Lampard was not punched in the League Cup final, the Chelsea midfielder’s agent said yesterday, following the brawl in Cardiff which cost Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor a red card.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger called late on Wednesday for Lampard to ‘tell the truth’ about the incident.
Lampard’s agent Steven Kutner was quoted as telling BBC Sport: “I’ve spoken to Frank and he told me that he wasn’t punched.” – Reuters
