Mansell backs Button to seal title
LONDON: Former champion Nigel Mansell has backed fellow-Briton Jenson Button to ‘go for gold’ and win the Formula One title in Brazil this weekend.
“It should be a walk in the park, it never is, but it should be,” the Briton, who was champion with Williams in 1992, told talkSPORT radio on Friday.
“He’s made it a little bit more difficult than it should have been. I think at the end of this weekend Jenson should be world champion and lets hope he is.
“But you never know, it’s not over until you cross the finishing line and the chequered flag drops and my goodness me, there have been times where I’ve thought `this one’s in the bag’ and something goes wrong,” said Mansell.
“What he has to do is go for gold ... he’ll get it together now. Overall he deserves it and I hope he does it this weekend.” — Reuters
