Ill Glock out of Japanese GP practice
SUZUKA, Japan (AP): Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi will fill in for Toyota's Timo Glock in Friday's practice sessions for the Japanese Grand Prix.
Toyota announced Friday that Glock was suffering from a heavy cold and fever, and that the team's third driver Kobayashi will take the seat in front of his home fans.
Toyota was hoping that Glock, who matched his career best by finishing second at last weekend's Singapore Grand Prix, will be fit to take his place for Saturday's qualifying and Sunday's race.
Friday's session will take place on a wet track, with continuing light rain at Suzuka.
