Chance to meet Rossi and Lorenzo at KLCC
PETALING JAYA: Reigning MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi and team-mate Jorge Lorenzo will meet the fans from 5.30pm at the Esplanade Area in Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) today.
The special appearance is organised by Petronas, the premium sponsors of the Yamaha Racing MotoGP team.
It will be the first time that Rossi will grace a function outside the track for the Malaysian GP.
The Italian and his Spanish team-mate will be joined by riders from the Petronas Sprinta Yamaha team, including 125cc wildcard entry Elly Idzlianizar Ilias, who will take part in an outreach programme with underprivileged students.
Rossi and Lorenzo arrived in Kuala Lumpur from Australia late last night.
At the Australian GP last Sunday in Phillip Island, Rossi finished second behind Ducati rider Casey Stoner.
Lorenzo did not finish the race.
