Thailand Tigers shock foreign-powered Dragons
KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur Dragons had five foreign players in their side but were still beaten 88-71 by Thailand Tigers in the Asean Basketball League at the Nimibutr National Stadium in Bangkok yesterday.
It was the Dragons’ third loss in five matches and the Thais’ first win in four outings.
Only a week ago the Malaysians edged the Thais 79-78 in KL.
Yesterday, the Thais took a 38-30 first-half lead.
Attaporn Lertmalaiporn was the top scorer for the Thais with 21 points while Bandaying Fhadzmir starred for KL Dragons with 24 points.
KL Dragons will face the Philippines Patriots here on Sunday.
