Canaries dethroned, MyTeam advance on away-goal rule
PETALING JAYA: UPB-MyTeam sent FA Cup defending champions Kedah packing on the away-goal rule after the second-round secondleg match ended in a goalless draw at the MBPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya last night.
The club side had held Kedah, who also won the Super League and Malaysia Cup titles last season, to a 1-1 draw in the first-leg match in Alor Star last Saturday.

Kedah threatened from the opening whistle and they came close to scoring after Mohd Khyril Muhymeen had rounded goalkeeper Syed Adney Syed Hussein inside the box in the third minute.
But Khyril had no support upfront and the chance was wasted with MyTeam packing the defence to prevent an early goal.
National striker Norsharul Idlan Talaha had the best chance to score for MyTeam but the nippy goal-getter after latching on to a through ball failed to hit target with only goalkeeper Mohd Helmi Eliza Elias to beat in the 55th minute.
Kedah had a goal disallowed in the 75th minute.
Sharulnizam Mustapha put the ball in the net with a header from close range but he was ruled offside by referee Syawal Shariff.
At the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Harimau Muda continued with their giantkilling feat when they came from behind to knock out Super League side Terengganu.
The Premier League leaders had lost the first-leg match 1-2 at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium in Gong Badak but bounced back to win the return match 3-1 to advance 4-3 on aggregate.
Terengganu skipper Marzuki Yusof scored the opening goal in the 43rd minute before K. Rajagopal’s national Under-19 side turned on the heat in the second half with goals coming from K. Gurusamy (66th), Ahmad Shakir Ali (68th, penalty) and Ahmad Aminuddin (76th).
Negri Sembilan scored a comfortable 3-0 win over Penang at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi to qualify for the quarterfinals 4-1 on aggregate.
At the Shah Alam Stadium, Selangor advanced to the last eight with a 2-1 aggregate win over Kuala Lumpur.
The Red Giants had won the first-leg match 1-0.
